Boyd Cordner is a professional rugby league player for the Sydney Roosters in the NRL. He plays in the second-row and can also play Lock-Forward. He attended St Clares High School in Taree. He was captain of the New South Wales Rugby League team in the first Under 20's State of Origin. His junior clubs were Old Bar Beach Pirates and Taree Red Rovers.
Cordner was first selected for the New South Wales team on the bench in Game III of the 2013 State Of Origin series.
Cordner won the 2013 Dally M Second Rower of the year award and premiership with the Roosters.
