Chris Manley graduated from Temple University in Philadelphia and enrolled at American Film Institute in California shortly after receiving his Bachelors Degree. He was recognized by Barbara Schock, the director of "My Mother Dreams The Satan's Disciples in New York (1999)" in her acceptance speech for the Best Short Film/Live Action academy award in 2000. Chris was the first person she thanked after receiving the Oscar.
