Christopher Hinton is a Canadian film animator and professor, living in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. He has been twice nominated for the Academy Award for Best Animated Short Film, in 1991 for the National Film Board of Canada animated short Blackfly and in 2003 for his independently made short Nibbles. Hinton was also a Genie Award winner for his 2004 short film cNote. Originally from Galt, Ontario, he began working for the NFB in the 1970s and has also taught animation at Concordia University.
