Corinne Lathrop Gilb was an author, publisher and international lecturer. She taught history and urban studies at Mills College, San Francisco State College, and Wayne State University in Detroit. Gilb authored articles, essays, and books including Hidden Hierarchies: The Professions and Government, originally published by Harper and Row. Her interests also led her to serve as consultant to the California legislature, delegate to NGO meetings at the United Nations, and Director of Planning for Detroit. She died in 2003, at her home in California.
