Ha Hee-ra is a South Korean actress. Her father is a native and immigrant of Taiwan, while her mother is full Korean. Ha started her career as a child actor when she was in the sixth grade, and has appeared mainly in films for teenagers. She became a representative actress of the 1990s, along with Chae Shi-ra and Kim Hee-ae. In her earliest years, she spoke both Mandarin Chinese and Korean. She has stated that she ate Chinese cuisine as a child. She has since lost her fluency in Chinese.
In 1993, Ha married Choi Soo Jong. She has since obtained South Korean citizenship. The couple have two children: son Min-seo and daughter Yoon-seo.
