James Monroe Iglehart is an American stage actor and singer. As of May, 2014, he is currently playing the role of Genie in Aladdin, for which he is nominated for the Tony Award for Best Featured Actor in a Musical and the Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Featured Actor in a Musical. He also originated the role of Bobby in Memphis. He has also played Mitch Mahoney in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. In 2005, he directed Bat Boy the Musical at Ray of Light Theatre
