Jeff Nichols is an American film director and screenwriter from Little Rock, Arkansas. He studied filmmaking at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts. Nichols has filmed Shotgun Stories, Take Shelter and Mud, all of which have received high praise from film critics.
Nichols is currently in pre-production on the sci-fi chase film Midnight Special, inspired by the movies of John Carpenter.
