Julie Louise Gerberding, M.D., M.P.H., is an American infectious disease expert and the former director of the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and administrator of the Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry. Gerberding led CDC's efforts to prepare for and counter terrorism. She is an Associate Clinical Professor of Medicine at Emory University and an Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of California, San Francisco.
