Sarah Caroline Olivia Colman is an English actress who first became known for her supporting role as Sophie Chapman in Peep Show alongside Robert Webb and David Mitchell and other comedy shows, including Twenty Twelve, Rev., Beautiful People and Green Wing. She also played various roles in That Mitchell and Webb Look alongside her Peep Show co-stars. Her move to drama saw her receive critical acclaim for her performance in the 2011 film Tyrannosaur. In 2013, Colman won BAFTA awards for her roles in Accused and Twenty Twelve and received further acclaim for her role as DS Ellie Miller in ITV crime series Broadchurch.
