Pawan Shankar

Pawan Shankar is an Indian television actor,who is hailed for his eponymous role in the critically acclaimed serial Siddhanth on Star One, is an MBA in finance from Institute of Management Technology, Ghaziabad. An alumnus of Allahabad's St. Joseph's College, Shankar graduated with a Gold Medal from Allahabad University. Interestingly, in addition to having a formidable academic background, he also excelled as a sportsman. A top ranked player among sub-junior and junior boys in Table Tennis and a former national cadet champion, Shankar represented Uttar Pradesh in 17 national-level tournaments. Prior to trying his multi-faceted talents in Mumbai, Shankar traversed the corporate world for about 4 years, working in companies such as Triveni Engineering & Industries Ltd., Essar Cellphone, Hutch and ICICI Securities. For sure, Shankar has an enviable acting career. He completed a course in acting from Kishore Namit Kapoor Acting Lab, Mumbai and bagged the coveted Best Actor Critics Award in the Indian Telly Awards for his performance in Siddhanth, a serial that also received the best drama award in Hero Honda Indian Television academy awards. In addition, Shankar was nominated for the Best Actor category in Apsara Awards, which nominated the serial in the Best Serial Drama category as well.
