Technicolor Motion Picture Corporation

The Technicolor Motion Picture Corporation was developer of the color film processes which carried the trademark Technicolor. Itwas founded in Boston in 1914 by Herbert Kalmus, Daniel Frost Comstock, and W. Burton Wescott. The "Tech" in the company's name was inspired by Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where Kalmus received his undergraduate degree and was later an instructor.
