73rd Annual Peabody Awards Announced

Peabody Award is awarded for Distinguished achievement and meritorious public service by television and radio stations, networks, producing organizations, individuals and the World Wide Web.

A record 46 recipients of the University of Georgia’s 73rd Annual Peabody Awards were announced on April 2, 2014. The winners, chosen by the Peabody board from almost 1,100 entries, comprise the best in electronic media for the year 2013.

Ira Glass–host and creator of This American Life–will be emceeing this year’s Peabody Awards ceremony to be held on May 19, 2014, at the Waldorf-Astoria in New York. The ceremony will be celebrating the best of TV, radio, and web storytelling from 2013.
