Jimmy Vesey, a Harvard senior who scored 24 goals and 46 points this season, was named the 2016 Hobey Baker Award. The announcement came during the NCAA Frozen Four championship in a live ceremony held on Saturday, April 09 2016 at historic Tampa Theatre in Tampa, Florida and aired nationally on NHL Network.
Vesey, a standout forward at Harvard and Charlestown/North Reading native, and Demko, netminder for the Boston College Eagles, are part of the Hobey Hat Trick. He just finished his senior season with the Crimson and is a finalist for the second straight year. He potted 24 goals to go with 22 assists in 33 games, and was also named Ivy Player of the Year and ECAC Player of the Year for the second year in a row. He was also a repeat winner of the Walter Brown Award, given to the top American-born player in New England.

Vesey is the fourth Hobey honoree from Harvard joining Mark Fusco (1983), Scott Fusco (1986) and Lane MacDonald (1989). Those four skaters are the only four Hobey winners from current ECAC Hockey schools.
