NME Awards 2016 Winners Announced

NME Award 2016The NME Awards 2016 were held on February 17 at London’s O2 Academy Brixton. Coldplay, Taylor Swift, Wolf Alice and The Libertines are the big winners.  The ceremony was hosted by Radio 1 DJ Huw Stephens for the third year, saw Coldplay receive the Godlike Genius Award, with the band closing the ceremony with a live performance.

The Maccabees beat Foals and The Libertines to be crowned Best British Band, while Run The Jewels took him the prize for Best International Band supported by Austin, Texas. The NME Awards is an annual music awards show in the United Kingdom.
