Shotgun honoured with the Lifetime achievement award, ‘Bhaag Milkha Bhaag’ Wins Top Five Awards with Best Film in IIFA 2014

15th-iifa‘Bhaag Milkha Bhaag’, from Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra has become the top prize winner at the 15 International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) awards, taking home top 5 awards including best actor, best director and best picture.
Deepika Padukone, 28, nominated in the best actress category for three of her films, won the award for ‘Chennai Express’. Deepika was also honoured with the best entertainer of the year award.
Shatrughan Sinha also called as Shotgun, today honoured with the Lifetime achievement award at 15th annual IIFA for his outstanding contribution to Indian cinema. He play role more than 200 hindi ,Punjabi and Bangla movies. Bollywood actress Sonakshi Sinha, daughter of Shatrughan Sinha and actor Anil Kapoor jointly presented the award to Shatrughan.
After reciving the award Shatrughan said “I am thankful to IIFA and the audience for their love and appreciation. With all humility I accept this award. I feel the lifetime achievement award means there are still miles for me to go ahead. I am grateful to my wife for her continuous support, Sonakshi is the daughter of the family and pride of the masses”.iifa-2014-best-actor-and-actress
The four-day event, with an expected worldwide viewership of 800 million, drew tens of thousands of visitors to the area and was expected to generate about $11 million in revenue, organizers said.
