Ted Turner Wins The Lifetime Achivment Award in 35th Annual Sports Emmy Awards

The National Academy of Television arts & sciences announces winners of the 35th annual sports emmy awards. The special ceremony of 35th annual sports emmy awards held at Jazz at Lincoln Center’s Frederick P. Rose Hall in New York City.
The Sports Emmy Award recipients were chosen by a Blue Ribbon Panel of industry peers. The awards recognize outstanding achievement by individuals and programs broadcast throughout the 2013 calendar year.Award is given in 39 Category. NBC network gets six Emmy Awards, Fox/HBO Sports/MLB Network won each 5 and ESPN received four awards. Bob Costas won his 20 th career Emmy Award and again it was for Outstanding Studio Host. There were four awards ties. The current MLB on Fox analyst team of Harold Reynolds and Tom Verducci won for Outstanding Studio Analyst for their work on MLB Network. ESPN’s College GameDay and TNT’s Inside the NBA tied for Outstanding Studio Show – Weekly. There was a tie in the Outstanding New Approaches in Sports Programming. And one in Oustanding Studio Show in Spanish.
