Jimmy Stafford (April 26, 1964) is the lead guitarist and original member of the Grammy award winning band Train. Born in Morris, Illinois, he now resides in Las Vegas and Chicago. Prior to joining Train, Stafford was a member of the band The Apostles along with former Train members Charlie Colin and Rob Hotchkiss. The group released a self titled album in 1992. Stafford has also written his first book, a novel, titled "The Guitar on the Wall" that is due to be released after the completion of Train's tour for the album Save Me, San Francisco The Guitar On The Wall (to be released 2011)
