Barun Sobti is an Indian actor. Sobti began his television career as the male lead Swayam Khurana, in the family and faith oriented daily soap, Shraddha. He then played the male lead in Keshav Pandit and the character of Dr Yuvraaj Singh in Dill Mill Gayye. It was followed by a role in Baat Hamari Pakki Hai. To promote the show, lead pair Sobti and Ankita Sharma appeared in Sony TV's dance based reality show Boogie Woogie! on 29 May 2010. In 6 June Sobti appeared in Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon. His portrayal of the character was popular with the wedding to Khushi being hyped in the media and his departure from the show drawing a strong reaction from the fans. He had a cameo in Dill Mill Gaye, where he played the negative role of patient Raj Singh, in rehabilitation for drug abuse and has also hosted the 2011 Star Parivaar Awards. Sobti is from Delhi and completed his schooling and graduation there.
