David Meyer Wessel is an American journalist and writer who has shared two Pulitzer Prizes for journalism. He is the Washington-based economics editor of The Wall Street Journal and writes its "Capital Column", a weekly look at the economy and forces shaping living standards around the world. Wessel appears frequently on National Public Radio "Morning Edition" and on the WETA public-television program "Washington Week".
