The Razzie Award for Worst Director is an award presented at the annual Golden Raspberry Awards to the worst director of the previous year. The following is a list of nominees and recipients of that award, along with the film for which they were nominated. As of the 2011 awards, the only directors with multiple wins are John Derek and M. Night Shyamalan, with two Razzies each.
To date, there are only two winners that accepted their awards in person. They are Paul Verhoeven of Showgirls, and Tom Green of Freddy Got Fingered.
So far, there have only been three women in the entire history of the award to have ever won it, Elaine May for Ishtar, Jennifer Lynch for Boxing Helena, and Elizabeth Banks, one of the several directors of Movie 43.
