Alice Ripley is an American actor, singer, songwriter, and mixed media artist known for her various roles on Broadway in musicals, including the Pulitzer Prize-winning Next to Normal and Side Show. She has also performed in many plays, including 2013's Clybourne Park at the Long Wharf Theatre. Ripley was most recently seen in the Seattle, Washington production of the musical, Carrie.
Ripley recently wrapped shooting on the feature film, Muckland, written by Matthew George and directed by Charlie Polinger. Ripley stars opposite Kathleen Chalfant in the feature film, Isn't It Delicious, which won Best Feature Film at the 2013 Rainier Independent Film Festival, Second Place at the Tupelo Film Festival, and Best Comedy at the Manhattan Film Festival. Ripley also stars in the 2013 short film, Sing Along.
Ripley has also written and produced albums with her band, RIPLEY. The single, "Beautiful Eyes", was released in February 2012 and the accompanying music video in April 2012.
As a solo artist, Ripley has been presenting her show, "Ripley Reflects", regularly at the cabaret/concert venue, 54 Below. In February 2011, Ripley and co-producer Sh-K-Boom Records released Alice Ripley Daily Practice, Volume 1, a stripped-down collection of acoustic rock covers with Ripley accompanying herself on guitar.
