Peter Zandstra, Ph. D., is I’Anson Professor of Tissue Engineering, and a Canada Research Chair in Stem Cell Bioengineering at the University of Toronto Institute of Biomaterials and Biomedical Engineering. He is cross-appointed to the Department of Chemical Engineering and Applied Chemistry at the University of Toronto.
He obtained his B. Eng at McGill University and his Ph.D at the University of British Columbia under the supervision of James Piret and Connie Eaves. He did his post-doctoral training at Massachusetts Institute of Technology with Doug Lauffenberger before joining the University of Toronto in 1999.
