Eli Krog

Eli Krog was a Norwegian publicist and translator. She produced the first translation of Doris Lessing to Norwegian, for which she won the Bastian Prize. She was an important voice in the foundation of Norsk Oversetterforening in 1948, and was chair of the organisation from 1950 to 1960. She was daughter of civil rights lawyer Ludvig Meyer, and married to Helge Krog from 1912 to 1947. Her book Lek med minner looks at Norwegian folk life in the Middle Ages.
