Todd McCarthy

Todd McCarthy is an American film critic. McCarthy wrote for Variety for 31 years as its chief film critic before being laid-off in 2010. He later became a critic for The Hollywood Reporter. McCarthy has also directed four documentaries about film: Visions of Light, Claudia Jennings, Forever Hollywood, and Man of Cinema: Pierre Rissient. McCarthy wrote the renowned book about on the famous director and producer Howard Hawks. The book is titled: Howard Hawks: the Grey Fox of Hollywood.
