Karen Blanche Black was an American actress, screenwriter, singer and songwriter. She is known for her appearances in such films as Easy Rider, Five Easy Pieces, The Great Gatsby and Airport 1975, The Day of the Locust and Nashville, Alfred Hitchcock's final film Family Plot, and Capricorn One. Over the course of her career, she won two Golden Globe Awards, and an Academy Award nomination in 1971 for Best Supporting Actress.
