Prasad Productions, Prasad Studios and Prasad Film Labs are motion picture post production studios in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India, started by L.V. Prasad in 1956. Prasad Group has produced till date over more than 150 movies in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi, of which Hindi movies were the majority.
This group is the largest chain of post production facilities in India with a total of 12 delivery units located in all the major film production centers of India namely Mumbai, Chennai, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Thiruvananthapuram, Bhuvaneswar, Kolkata and overseas presence in Singapore, Dubai and USA.
Headed by Ramesh Prasad, son of late L.V. Prasad and Sai Prasad, Grandson of late L.V. Prasad the group has some of the best equipment and facilities for feature film and advertising post production. Prasad Group offers all services related to feature films and advertising commercial production under one roof namely Shooting Floors, Shooting Equipment, Film Processing and Printing, Telecine, Editing, Audio, Graphics, Digital Intermediate, Digital Film Restoration, DVD Authoring, Release Printing, Format conversions and Digital Cinema support services. The group has amongst other state-of-the-art facilities 6 film labs, 17 audio recording and mixing studios, 3 large VFX studios, digital intermediate suites, digital restoration studios, telecine suites and DVD authoring suites.
