Flavia Agnes is an Indian feminist, legal scholar and activist practicing in Mumbai, the capital of Maharashtra state. She is an advocate and co-founder of Majlis a "legal resource centre". According to her the quest for emancipation of women would not be complete without the movement related to lesbianism, lesbianism being an important aspect in the women's struggle against male domination, and that being lesbian or bisexual was not just a matter of sexual orientation but a choice developed from a desire to escape abuse that a heterosexual relationship entitled.
