Charles James Box, Jr. is a New York Times bestselling American author of fifteen novels. A native of Wyoming, Box lives outside of Cheyenne with his wife Laurie and daughters Molly, Becky and Roxanne. The first novel in his Joe Pickett series, Open Season, was included in The New York Times list of "Notable Books" of 2001. He also has written several stand-alone novels. He is a graduate of the University of Denver.
