Elizabeth Banks is an American actress, producer and director. She made her film debut in the low-budget independent film Surrender Dorothy. Banks is known for her roles in such films as Seabiscuit, The 40-Year-Old Virgin, Invincible, Definitely, Maybe, W., Role Models, The Uninvited, The Next Three Days, People Like Us, Man on a Ledge, Pitch Perfect, Movie 43, The Lego Movie, and The Hunger Games film series.
On television, Banks had a recurring role as Avery Jessup on the NBC sitcom 30 Rock, which gained her two Emmy Award nominations. Previously, Banks had starred in a recurring role as Dr. Kim Briggs on Scrubs from 2006 to 2009.
