Devin Devorris Hester is an American football player for the Atlanta Falcons of the National Football League. He is primarily a return specialist, though he is officially listed as a wide receiver and previously played as a cornerback.
Hester was drafted in the second round of the 2006 NFL Draft by the Chicago Bears. He quickly made an impact as a kick returner, and later became one of the team's starting wide receivers. Hester holds the NFL record for most all-time return touchdowns and most all-time punt return touchdowns. From 2007–2012, the Bears employed him on offense as well as special teams, but as of 2013 he has been solely a kick and punt returner. He played college football for the University of Miami, where he was the first player in the university’s recent history to play in all three phases of American football.
