Legend3D, Inc., a San Diego-based company, was founded in August 2001 by Dr. Barry Sandrew as Legend Films, Inc.
The company started business providing restoration and film colorization services for classic black-and-white films for DVD, HDTV and theatrical release and the sale of many of these restored, colorized films in DVD format. It was officially renamed Legend3D, Inc. in 2010, in recognition of the change of its primary business to stereoscopic VFX and conversion services.
Legend3D specializes in theatrical feature conversion on a tight schedule and has also provided stereoscopic consultation for films shot in native 3D that contained some material needing conversion.
