Mort Lindsey, was an orchestrator, composer, pianist, conductor and musical director for Judy Garland, Barbra Streisand, Pat Boone, and Merv Griffin. He attended Newark Arts High School. He later attended Columbia University, earning a doctoral degree in music education. Lindsey was a composer of motion picture scores including I Could Go On Singing, The Best Man, Real Life, Stolen Hours, and Gay Purr-ee. He won an Emmy Award for Barbra Streisand in Central Park.
