John Martin Armiger is an Australian musician, record producer and film/TV composer. He was singer-songwriter and guitarist with Melbourne-based rock band, The Sports during 1978–1981, which had Top 30 hits on the Kent Music Report Singles Chart with, "Don't Throw Stones", "Strangers on a Train" and "How Come"; and top 20 albums with, Don't Throw Stones, Suddenly and Sondra.
Armiger was musical director for Australian Broadcasting Corporation TV series, Sweet and Sour, in 1984 and was record producer on the related soundtrack albums as well as performing and songwriting. Since 2004, Armiger is Head of Screen Composition at the Australian Film Television and Radio School.
