Mark Thomas Ciardi is a film producer and former Major League Baseball pitcher. He played for the Milwaukee Brewers in 1987. In what is known in baseball terms as a "cup of coffee"". He opened the season on the Milwaukee Brewers roster in which they started the season with 13 consecutive wins, a record that still stands today. Ciardi was actually the losing pitcher in their first loss of the season, a 7–1 loss to the Chicago White Sox. He was largely ineffective in all four of his appearances with the Brewers giving up 17 earned runs in 16.1 innings for a 9.37 ERA before being demoted to the minor leagues, never to return to the majors.
