The BET Awards for Best R&B Artist is split between the overall best male and female contemporary R&B and soul singers who have released an album the previous or same year. As of 2010, Beyoncé has won the most BET Awards for Best Female R&B Artist, while Usher & Chris Brown have won the most BET Awards for Best Male R&B Artist, each with three wins. Robin Thicke and Justin Timberlake are the only caucasian artists to be nominated for this award.
