New York Times 10 Best Books of the Year

The New York Times Book Review Awards

In December of each Year the New York Times Book Review publishes a list of their choices for the 10 best books of the year - culled from the books reviewed by them since the last year's list. Sometimes the number is 11 - in 2002 they could only come up with 9 and in 1973 only 3! I'm inclined to stick with the "10 Best" title for now. I'm finding many of the titles are Pulitzer, Man Booker and other prize winning works from actual juried competitions as well. It seems intended as a holiday shopping guide but seems like a good source to add personal reading lists when you find ones that catch your interest.
